The 2012 Florida International Air Show celebrates its 32nd^t year and will trace the history of aviation with acts from many of the top aerobatic pilots in the world. This year’s show will be filled with amazing demonstrations in the air and on the ground. Attendees will enjoy seeing aircraft dating from before World War II to the present day tactical fighters. This year’s show offers new and unique performers, exhibits and displays.  Looking to catch the world famous Blue Angels in action? The 2012 Florida International Air Show is the only show in southern Florida featuring the Blue Angels, officially known as the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron. Formed in 1946, the squadron is currently the oldest formal flying aerobatic team, and the six demonstration pilots currently fly the F/A-18 Hornet in more than 70 shows at 34 locations throughout the United States each year, where they still employ many of the same practices and techniques used in their aerial displays in 1946. Since their inception, the "Blues" have flown a variety of different aircraft types, thrilling more than 427 million spectators worldwide. If you haven't seen the Blue Angels perform aerial stunts at 700 mph, now is your chance!   You will also see exciting and death-defying stunts performed by some of the best pilots in the business.
